I can understand if I am paying $1.99 for a steak taco, $1.50 for a chicken taco and $4.99 for a burrito, but a steak taco is $4.25, chicken taco is $3+ dollars and the burrito is $10+ dollars. The worse part about this is that Carbon’s prices are actually pretty high. I can tell that the meat had been sitting around in a container for a while and was not warmed up correctly before serving it. The Lomo on my wife’s burrito was under seasoned and in need of salt. The exterior of my steak taco was burned, the temperature was cold and meat was very chewy. The chicken was soft, but cold/very dry and over salted. Neither the steak nor the chicken looked fresh at all. When we got our order I noticed right away that the meat had not been freshly cooked since it looked dry. I ordered 2 chicken & 1 steak tacos and my wife ordered a Lomo Burrito. I noticed that the grill was not on and that meat was not being cooked when we were ordering. Should have known that quick service and not busy for dinner was a sign that maybe it was not a good idea to eat at Carbon. It sure was quick, but for good food we probably should have gone somewhere else. My wife and I decided to go to Carbon for dinner, we didn’t want anything fancy or high end, we just wanted a quick bite of good food. After they messed up my order and we’re rude and unprofessional. He gets audibly upset…again! After leaving items out of my order, David and Jamaica are upset that I don’t want a credit for a future order. I ask for a refund and say I’ll be leaving a review because this experience has been awful and the service is ridiculous. I explain that I don’t want a credit, I just want my money back for what I didn’t get. I tell him all of the above and he says he can give a credit. I call back, ask for the manager again and speak to David. She puts me on “holds which actually just hangs up on me. She says she can’t help so I need to speak to a manager. And a credit just means I have to order from them again…after then messing up my food. I don’t want to wait an hour for half of my order to be delivered. I ask how long it’ll take and she says I can get a credit. paid for, she says she can have it delivered…for a fee. Call the restaurant and ask for a manager, Jamaica informs me that she can help…despite not being a manager. Terrible service ruins the whole experience.
